Hello Team Frimousse! 🐰

Today, we have several tips to share with you on how to use our products most effectively depending on your little ones' hair type.

It is obvious that the techniques vary depending on your children's hair type.

For your little ones with hair types ranging from 2A to 4C (from slightly wavy to curly...)

It is necessary to know the porosity of your Frimousse.

What is porosity?

💡Hair porosity is its ability to absorb and retain moisture . Whether it's low , medium , or high porosity , it doesn't determine the health of the hair . Rather, it's about knowing how to properly moisturize your little one's hair and how often .

Here's an effective way to test hair porosity at home: the "glass test." Simply fill a glass with water and submerge a strand of clean , dry hair. If the hair floats to the surface , it has low porosity . If it stays in the middle of the glass , the porosity is medium , and if it sinks , the hair has high porosity .

đŸ„•Your child's hair fibers are closed; they take a long time to become properly wet, and moisture doesn't penetrate them well. Treatments are poorly absorbed by the hair fiber. A gentle routine is recommended.

💡"The spray is their friend, for other treatments like milk, use them in small quantities so as not to weigh down the curls, you can then seal in the moisture with a light vegetable oil like jojoba oil."

đŸ„•Your Frimousse's hair fiber is smooth, its cuticles are closed, and the hydration is properly absorbed.

💡"Wet the hair before applying styling milk or treatment, no particular treatment to recommend " .

đŸ„•Your Frimousse's hair fiber is open, allowing a large amount of moisture to pass through, but it is not retained. As a result, they become tangled and dry more quickly.

💡"Moisten the hair before applying styling milk or treatment; it is important to seal in the moisture with a vegetable oil or butter. It will take much more care to maintain them."

đŸ„•As you may have guessed, textured hair often has a higher porosity due to its unique structure. This can influence how it absorbs and retains moisture.

đŸ„•Hair with higher porosity tends to absorb moisture more quickly, but it can also lose it more easily. That's why it's important to adapt our hair care products to your child's hair porosity, which will help maintain balanced hydration.

Nourishing and detangling conditioner

Step 1: Applying the shampoo 🐰

đŸ„•Wet your Frimousse's hair and apply the shampoo to the hair.

đŸ„•Gently massage the scalp with your fingertips to cleanse gently.

đŸ„•Rinse thoroughly.

Step 2: Applying the conditioner 🐰

đŸ„•Apply the conditioner, and focus mainly on the lengths and ends of your Frimousse's hair.

đŸ„•Leave on for a few minutes, then rinse.

💡We recommend separating your Frimousse's hair into 4 sections to facilitate the application of conditioner, especially for type 4 hair. This simplifies detangling and the application of the treatment.

Step 3: Hydrate and nourish 🐰

To hydrate, nourish and add definition to your Frimousse's hair, you can use our styling milk; fine and type 2A to 3A hair will only need a small amount of product.

đŸ„•Apply it to towel-dried hair, focusing on the ends.

đŸ„•Use a "scrunching" technique by gently scrunching your hair with your hands to strengthen the curls.

💡“SCRUNCHING”: The action of folding and scrunching hair curls with an upward, grasping motion to enhance their shape and encourage them to curl more. However, this method is not necessary for type 2A to 3A hair.

đŸ„•Let this hair air dry to preserve the definition of these curls.

đŸ„•Avoid excessively manipulating this hair while drying to minimize frizz.

Daily routine: Detangling and styling

Tip 1: Applying the detangling spray 🐰

If your Frimousse's hair is prone to knots, use our detangling spray.

đŸ„•Spray it on the areas where the hair gets tangled, then gently comb with a wide-tooth comb or detangling brush, starting from the bottom and gradually working your way up.

Tip 2: Hairstyling 🐰

đŸ„• You can adjust the shape of your Frimousse's curls with your fingers. After the hair has been moisturized and nourished.

In the morning, for type 3-4 hair, it will be necessary to apply a few sprays of the spray and then apply styling milk to rehydrate and define the curls; for other types, a little milk will suffice to rehydrate and refresh the hair.

đŸ‘¶ For very young children, whose hair is so fine, sometimes just a spray is enough to hydrate their curls and make them hold. If needed, for the driest areas, like the back of their heads where their hair is usually drier, a touch of styling milk is all you need.

💡Of course, once their hair is well detangled and moisturized you can style your child in several ways, with twists or braids for example (without pulling the hair too tight obviously!) Find some cool hairstyle ideas for your little one.
